Posted January 11th, 2019

A trio of Texas golfers have received invitations to compete at the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur, the school announced Friday.

Emilee Hoffman, Agathe Laisne and Kaitlyn Papp all received invitations to the tournament.

Hoffman was named an honorable mention All-American by Golfweek. She also won the Western Golf Association National Amateur Championship in 2018. Hoffman won a gold medal for the United States at the World University Games in 2017.

Papp earned a spot on the WGCA All-American second team in 2018. She also made Golfweek’s All-American third team. Papp was the Big 12 player of the year as well as the freshman of the year. She’s the first golfer to achieve that feat.

Laisne won the 2017 European Ladies Championship and competed in 11 tournaments as a freshman.
