Texas women’s golf finishes third at ANNIKA Intercollegiate

The Texas women’s golf team finished in third place at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Lake Elmo, Minn. on Wednesday.

The Longhorns shot 862, 2 under par, led by Kaitlyn Papp’s 7-under, 209. Papp took third place individually.

ā€œIā€™m very pleased with the start of our season,” head coach Ryan Murphy said. “A third-place finish in this field is a very good showing.”


Wake Forest won the tournament by shooting 847, ahead of Arkansas which shot 861.

Papp finished with a 71 after rounds of 70 and 68.

Sophi Guo took 14th place by shooting even.

Two other Longhorns finished in the top 30. Emilee Hoffman tied for 19th with a 3-under, 219. Sara Kouskova shot 221 to finish tied for 29th.

Hailee Cooper finished 8 over par and tied for 39th place.
