Longhorns in second place at Schooner Fall Classic

A pair of Longhorns shot in the 60s as Texas sits in second place, just one stroke behind Oklahoma, at the Schooner Fall Classic in Norman, Okla.

Kaitlyn Papp shot 66 to move to second place entering Sunday’s final round. She improved by four strokes from the first round and has a total of 136. Papp trails Mikhaela Fortuna of Oklahoma by one stroke.

Sophie Guo shot 68 to follow up her first-round 73 and sits in a tie for 18th at 140.


The Longhorns have three members in the top 20 with Emilee Hoffman sitting in a tie for 11th. She shot 71 in the second round after firing a 69 Friday.

Hailee Cooper and Sara Kouskova currently sit in a tie for 25th at 3-over 143.

Texas is the only team with all five members currently in the top 25 of the tournament leaderboard.
