Breaunna Addison defeated No. 27 Giuliana Olmos of Southern Cal 6-4, 6-0 to advance to the second round of the NCAA singles draw at the Women’s Tennis Championships on Wednesday in Tulsa, Okla.

The tenth-ranked All-America senior is a four-time NCAA singles draw qualifier and a two-time Big 12 player of the year. She’ll face Joana Eidukonyte of Clemson, who is ranked No. 26, on Thursday.

Addison jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Olmos by breaking her serve early. Addison got up 5-2, but had to hold off a late push by Olmos to win 6-4. Addison went on to dominate the second set, winning 6-0.

In addition to her second round singles match on Thursday, Addison will join Dan Wagland in the NCAA doubles draw. They’ll meet Southern Cal’s Gabby Smith and Olmos in the first round.
