No. 7 Texas women’s tennis sweeps Air Force

The No. 7 Texas women’s tennis team made it a clean sweep against Air Force, winning 7-0 at the Texas Tennis Center on Thursday.

The Longhorns won the doubles point and added six straight sets victories to take the match.

Bianca Turati clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-0 win over TJ Fumagalli.


Fernanda Labraña and Adri Nagy teamed up to give Texas its first win in doubles, defeating Meredith Jones and Kristin Kerrigan 6-1.

After Air Force took its only win of the day at third doubles, the Turati twins clinched the point with a 6-4 win over Fumagalli and Nadeen Lieberman.

Labraña made it 2-0 for Texas with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Kerrigan before Nagy won 6-1, 6-2 over Lieberman to make it 3-0.

Tijana Spasojevic, Anna Turati and Marta Perez Mur each won their matches following the clincher.
