Six kickoff times announced for Texas’ 2017 season

Longhorns-Trojans will meet at 7:30 p.m. Central time in a rematch of 2005 national championship game

The Tom Herman era will have an early start on Sept. 2 against Maryland. Kickoff time was set for 11 a.m., the Big 12 office announced on Wednesday.

Six kickoff times and broadcast channels were announced by the league office.

The Longhorns and Terps will play on FS1 in the brunch-time affair that serves as Herman’s debut as the UT coach. Texas will then host San Jose State at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 at Royal-Memorial Stadium. That game will be televised on Longhorn Network.

The mega-matchup at USC will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Central time on Sept. 16 and will be broadcast nationally on Fox Sports.

Texas’ Thursday night trip to Iowa State on Sept. 28 will start at 6:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Kansas fans will circle Nov. 11. The Jayhawks and Longhorns will meet in Austin at 5 p.m. in a game also televised on LHN.

The post-Thanksgiving day game against Texas Tech is also scheduled for 7 p.m. on Fox Sports.
