The Texas track and field team recorded seven top-five finishes at the Reveille Invitational at Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station on Saturday.
Teahna Daniels came away with the only win for the Longhorns, topping the field in the women’s 200-meter final. She finished in 23.66 seconds, and teammate Serenity Douglas clocked a 23.90 for third place. Kennedy Simon was fifth with a time of 24.08. Zola Golden took seventh, while Mariam Abdul-Rashid and Tamea McKelvy finished ninth and 10th for Texas.
The Longhorns also had second-place finishes in the women’s high jump and 1,600-meter relay and the men’s 200 meters. Marleen Guerrero cleared 5 feet, 3¾ inches, and the relay team finished in 3 minutes, 37.80 seconds. Terry Brown Jr. ran the 200 in 21.46 while teammate O’Brien Wasome finished seventh in 22.06.
Megan Rourke was fifth in the women’s 1,000 meters at 3:00.35.
