Texas point guard Isaiah Taylor “took a spill,” late in Tuesday’s practice and did not travel to Kansas City for Big 12 media days, according to an email from a university spokesman.
UT’s athletic training staff decided it was in Taylor’s best interest to stay back in Austin.
Taylor averaged 12.7 points in 30.1 minutes last year as a freshman. He had about 4.0 assists.
Head coach Rick Barnes and forward Jonathan Holmes will represent Texas at today’s event at Sprint Center.
