Texas coach Charlie Strong has a roadmap for his second season now that the Big 12 office has released the 2015 conference schedule.
Texas knew it was going to open at Notre Dame on Sept. 5, 2015. Then, the Longhorns will return home for games against Rice and California.
Strong’s club will open Big 12 play against Oklahoma State at Royal-Memorial Stadium on Sept. 26. Then, it’s back-to-back games in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Texas will play at TCU on Oct. 3 and then face traditional rival Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl on Oct. 10.
The Longhorns get a bye week after facing the Sooners, setting things up nicely for the second half of the season. Games at Iowa State on Halloween and a mid-November trip to West Virginia highlight the back end of the schedule.
Texas will face Texas Tech on Thanksgiving on Nov. 26, 2015, and then close the regular season at Baylor.
