Texas senior center Dom Espinosa announced on Twitter that he will not pursue a sixth year of eligibility and that his college playing career is over.
Espinosa, who started all 40 games in which he played, injured his ankle in the season-opener against North Texas. Two days later, he was ruled out for the year, depriving the Longhorns of their most experienced and reliable blocker.
On Twitter, Espinosa said he has “never been one to crave a future in the NFL, rather someone who anticipated making most of my hard earned Texas degree.”
I can't imagine a better place to graduate and play football. Texas, thanks for the memories. pic.twitter.com/W5318BzWbF

As expected, senior defensive tackle Desmond Jackson will be back in 2015. Jackson, who suffered a foot injury in week three against UCLA, announced his plans Monday via Facebook.
