Texas got a commitment Wednesday from junior college defensive end Quincy Vasser.
Vasser, who plays at Navarro College with fellow Longhorns pledge Tristan Nickelson, had been committed to Georgia for nine months before re-opening his recruitment on Tuesday. A day later, he committed to Texas, which has a need at defensive end with the impending loss of senior Cedric Reed.
Vasser made the announcement via Twitter after informing coach Charlie Strong.

Vasser, a three-star prospect, according to 247sports, is originally from Nyack, New York. He is 6 feet, 4-inches, and 260 pounds. He is listed as a sophomore on Navarro’s official roster, so he’d appear to have two years to play in Austin.
The Longhorns, with 20 commitments, are expected to add roughly 10 more pledges before signing day in early February.
