Texas will face Arkansas in the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl at NRG Stadium on Dec. 29. Both teams are 6-6 after having up-and-down seasons.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.

Fans were ecstatic when both teams met in the 2000 Cotton Bowl after the ’99 regular season. The Hogs captured a 27-6 win. The teams played again in 2003, ’04 and ’08.
Texas leads the all-time series 56-21.
NRG Stadium, home to the NFL’s Houston Texans, has a capacity of 71,054. Texas Bowl officials said more than 60,000 tickets have already been sold so far.
