MINNEAPOLIS — Texas remained perfect in the NCAA volleyball tournament, sweeping Colorado State, 25-19, 25-18, 25-17, in Friday’s regional semifinal in Minneapolis.
The second-seed Longhorns (26-2) will play No. 7 North Carolina in Saturday’s final at 5:30 p.m. The Tar Heels improved to 29-2 in a four-set win over Oregon.
Texas has now won all nine sets its played in the postseason.
The Longhorns got progressively better against the 15th-seed Rams, hitting . 200 in the first set, .300 in the second, and .441 in the third. Haley Eckerman had 16 kills, and Amy Neal had 14 digs. Molly McCage had five blocks, one more than Khat Bell.
Marlee Reynolds had 11 kills for CSU (31-3).
