Highlighting the 2015 Texas softball schedule is a home series with Oklahoma on April 10-12 at McCombs Field, but that’s just a small piece to a competitive spring slate for the Longhorns.

Texas will face three teams that played in last year’s College World Series – Oregon, the Sooners and Baylor – and 18 others that earned bids into last year’s NCAA Tournament in the upcoming season.

Eight of Texas’ opponents finished the 2014 season ranked in the final 2014 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 poll with four of those teams finishing among the Top 10 (No. 3 Oregon, No. 4 Baylor, No. 5 Oklahoma and No. 9 UCLA).

The Longhorns open the 2015 spring season on Feb. 6 at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Arizona. Texas will play its first home game on Feb. 13 in the Texas Classic.

Fans have the ability to design their own ticket packages for the season, starting with a three-game package at $15 general admission. There is also an option for a five-game reserved seating package for $35.

The Longhorns return seven players that started at least 31 games from last year’s NCAA regional finalists, including All-American junior outfielder Lindsey Stephens and NFCA Freshman of the Year finalist sophomore Tiarra Davis. Texas also welcomes four freshmen to the team in shortstop/outfielder Alyssa Angel, pitcher/first baseman Kristen Clark, catcher/outfielder Randel Leahy and pitcher Erica Wright.
