Former Texas guard Damarcus Croaker announced Monday he is transferring to Murray State, a school known for taking in mid-year transfers.
Croker told the American-Statesman last Tuesday that he was leaving the Longhorns because of a lack of playing time and a desire to be closer to his son in Orlando, Fla.
“Don’t get me wrong. I love being here and love all my teammates,” Croaker said then. “But I’ve got to do what’s best for me.”
Croaker averaged 1.6 points in five games for Texas this season.
