Less than a week before he is to enroll at Texas, Longhorns football commitment Tim Irvin will visit another school.
On Thursday, Irvin’s high school coach, Sedrick Irvin, told the American-Statesman that Irvin will visit Auburn this weekend. It is unknown whether Texas will end ties with Irvin, who is expected to enroll at Texas for the start of the spring semester on Tuesday.
Irvin, a four-star defensive back from Westminster Christian near Miami, is part of the so-called Florida Five currently committed to Texas. He pledged to the Longhorns during the Jan. 3 Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
Messages left to Irvin were not returned.
