An Oct. 12 trial has been set in the sexual assault case against former Texas wide receiver Kendall Sanders.
On Friday morning, Sanders appeared in Travis County district court and pleaded not guilty to felony charges of sexual assault and improper photographer stemming from an on-campus incident in June involving a female student.
Sanders’ attorney, Brian Roark, declined comment.
Former Longhorns wide receiver Montrel Meander, who is charged with sexual assault, is due to appear in court on April 29.
Sanders and Meander were each dismissed from the Longhorns football program prior to the start of fall camp in 2014. Neither remains enrolled at Texas.
