Texas and Texas A&M are poised to play each other in baseball each of the next two seasons, Aggies coach Rob Childress told The Dallas Morning News.
The plan is for Texas to visit College Station in 2016 and to host A&M in 2017. The former Big 12 rivals have not played in the regular season since A&M left for the SEC in the 2012-13 school year. In last year’s postseason, Texas took two of three games from A&M at the Houston Regional.
Texas has not confirmed the games.
The teams are moving in opposite directions this year. A&M (33-3) is ranked first by Baseball America, while Texas has dropped nine of 11 games and is out of the top-25.
