FORT WORTH — Friday’s nasty thunderstorm in Fort Worth has caused the cancellation of Texas’ baseball game at TCU.
The series-opener was initially delayed for an hour before wind gushing at 80 to 90 miles-per-hour forced fans to take shelter on the bottom floor of Lupton Stadium.
A double-header is set for Saturday at noon. For Texas, Parker French will be on the mound against TCU left-hander Tyler Alexander.
TCU (31-8, 7-5) is fourth in the Big 12 standings, one spot ahead of Texas (22-19, 8-7).
