Texas women’s basketball centers Kelsey Lang and Imani McGee-Stafford are among 56 collegiate basketball players to accept invitations to attend the 2015 USA Basketball Women’s Pan American Games and World University Games Team Trials.
The trials will be May 14-17 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Invitations were issued by the USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team committee.
Trials will be used to determine the rosters for the 2015 U.S. Pan American Women’s Basketball Team and the 2015 USA Women’s World University Games Team. The 12 members of each squad, or finalists for each team, will be announced on the morning of May 17.
Lang earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors after averaging 10.6 points and 6.4 rebounds during her sophomore campaign with the Longhorns. McGee-Stafford, a 2015 All-Big 12 First Team selection, ended her junior season on fire — averaging team-bests of 14.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, and a .636 field goal percentage in six postseason games.
