Less than a year after taking the job, Danielle Lund McNamara has resigned her position as women’s tennis coach at Texas.
The school announced the departure on Wednesday morning. Lund McNamara did not immediately return a message left by the American-Statesman.
This marks the second straight offseason Lund McNamara resigned from a coaching job. She left Yale in May, 2014 after eight seasons, citing family reasons. In August, she delivered her second child, a girl. A month later, Lund McNamara accepted the Texas job but did not take over the program full-time until after the fall season.
This past spring, UT posted a 10-11 mark, including a 6-3 record in Big 12 play.
Texas announced that Courtney Dolehide will continue in her role as assistant coach with the UT program.
