Texas sending Taylor Doyle, Johnathan Gray and Duke Thomas to Big 12 media days
Posted July 6th, 2015
Center Taylor Doyle, running back Johnathan Gray and cornerback Duke Thomas will represent Texas at Big 12 football media days on July 20-21 in Dallas.
None of the choices were unexpected, as the three seniors were mainstays at press conferences during the 2014 season.
Not surprisingly, Texas is leaving behind quarterbacks Tyrone Swoopes and Jerrod Heard, whose appearances would have distracted from the team and pushed for storylines on their battle for the starting position.
The contingencies for the Big 12’s other teams are as follows:
Oklahoma: Ty Darlington, Trevor Knight, Sterling Shepard, Eric Striker
Baylor: Andrew Billings, Corey Coleman, Spencer Drango, Shawn Oakman
TCU: Trevone Boykin, Joey Hunt, Derrick Kindred, James McFarland
Oklahoma State: David Glidden, Seth Jacobs, Emmanuel Ogbah, Kevin Peterson
Kansas State: Dante Barnett, Morgan Burns, Cody Whitehair
West Virginia: Karl Joseph, Nick Kwiatkoski, Tyler Orlosky, Wendell Smallwood
Texas Tech: Branden Jackson, Jared Kaster, DeAndre Washington
Kansas: Ben Goodman, Ben Johnson, Jordan Shelley-Smith
Iowa State: Sam Richardson (QB), Sam Richardson (DB), Quenton Bundrage
