Texas picked fifth in Big 12 preseason football poll

Texas came in fifth in the Big 12’s preseason football poll.
The Longhorns received 245 points, well ahead of West Virginia (204).
League favorite and defending co-champion TCU earned 32 of 42 first-place votes. Baylor got the other 10. Oklahoma came in third with 312 points followed by Oklahoma State with 289.
