On Sunday, the Internet was set ablaze by a report that Texas, Alabama, Ohio State and other high-profile Nike schools would all wear black-themed jerseys at some point during the 2015 season.
This goes against everything Texas coach Charlie Strong said at Big 12 media day. The coach told all reporters that he had no plans to change Texas’ iconic uniform.
And of the Sunday report, a UT athletic department source told the American-Statesman there was, “No truth to that.” Oklahoma and Georgia officials also shot down the report, saying they had no plans for new black alternative uniforms.
Then on Monday afternoon, Notre Dame posted photos of its new Under Armour uniforms, which the school claimed were, “STRONGER, LIGHTER & VIRTUALLY UNGRABBABLE.”

Texas fans probably hope that’s not the case come Sept. 5 in South Bend.
