If the Longhorns lose to the Bears in their upcoming Sept. 19 game, one sight that Texas fans will have to endure is Vince Young shedding his burnt orange for a Cal shirt.
Before pitchforks are raised, we should mention that it’s not because of a change of heart.
The former Longhorn quarterback made a friendly bet about the upcoming game with pal Scott Nady, the head coach for Parish Episcopal in Dallas:
If Texas wins, Nady, a Cal alum, will wear a Texas shirt in a post-game television analysis, and if Texas loses, Young will don a Cal shirt.
The bet was announced in a video posted to Nady’s Twitter.

“They’re not going to win,” said the former Longhorn quarterback about the Bears in the video, taken while the two were in Mexico on vacation, according to CBS Sports.
Just in case, Nady already has the Cal shirt bearing Young’s name ready:
This is the first game between the two teams since Texas beat Cal 21-10 back in 2011. In 2005, Texas took what some believe was Cal’s spot in the Rose Bowl.
