Bohls: Future Longhorn Ehlinger has Tebow qualities

Posted September 1st, 2015

While I got ya, here’s one thing about a future Longhorn. Maybe two future Longhorns:

Really was impressed with Westlake junior quarterback Sam Ehlinger and Southlake Carroll’s 6-5, 200-pound senior running back Lil’ Jordan Humphrey.

Ehlinger, a Texas commitment, has a lot of Tim Tebow qualities. He’s mobile and elusive in the pocket to extend plays. He’s a physical runner. He has great soft touch. And he’s accurate. Humphrey, who I hear is pushing 6-6 already, has limited his choices to Texas and Wisconsin. He glides a lot like Eric Dickerson used to, and he’s very fast. He can turn a field upside down in a hurry. Just love the name. His mom loved Michael Jordan, and I’m told Humphrey actually prefers basketball over football.
