Russell Gaskamp, a key blocker during Ricky Williams Heisman Trophy run in 1998, now is the head coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University.

That’s a Division II school.

On Halloween, Gaskamp had some fun on the sidelines for the game’s first half against Texas College. He coached dressed as Batman. His offensive coordinator was the Joker. The costumes also were part of a charity event.

His team won, 62-7. So, credit to Batman.

Perhaps Gaskamp gave this speech to his team.

“People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy, and I can’t do that as Bruce Wayne. As a man, I’m flesh and blood; I can be ignored, I can be destroyed. But as a symbol… as a symbol I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting.”
