Instant reaction: Texas 15, Baylor 3 — Horns avoid elimination in Big 12 tournament
Posted May 26th, 2016
Where it went right: In the first inning, the Horns jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back. After three innings, the score was 7-1. A seven-run seventh blew the game completely open, and the game was called off after that inning.
The starter: Morgan Cooper went seven innings for his longest outing of the season. It was ruled a complete game and his effort saved the bullpen from any wear and tear.
Top hitter: Tres Barrera, 3-5, HR, 4 RBI.
Key stat: For the first time all season, every member of Texas’ lineup came through with a hit.
Next game: 7 p.m. Friday vs. Oklahoma State or TCU.
