Longhorn Harrison Scott advanced to the finals of the John Breaux Cajun Tennis Classic with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Texas Tech’s Bjorn Thomson in the semifinals Saturday in Lafayette, La.
Scott will play William Bushamuka of Kentucky in the singles final on Sunday. Bushamuka defeated Oklahoma State’s Lukas Finzelberg in the semis to advance to the final. Scott is 4-0 in singles play at the event and has won each match in straight sets.
Texas sophomore Leonardo Telles competed in the singles consolation round and notched a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Louisiana’s Jamie Fraser.
