Texas soccer drops third straight Big 12 match, falls to Kansas 1-0

Kaite McClure’s goal in the 86th minute gave the Kansas Jayhawks a 1-0 victory over Texas Sunday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

The Longhorns (6-6-1) have lost three straight conference matches and are 0-3-1 in Big 12 play. The Jayhawks (8-3-2) lead the Big 12 at 3-0.

Oklahoma State’s Maddie Dobyns had five saves as the Longhorns out-shot Kansas 15-12.


UT’s Cyera Hintzen nearly gave Texas the lead in the 84th minute and 85th minute, but Dobyns made two crucial saves.

McClure got a pass into the penalty box in the 86th minute and beat Texas goalie Paige Brown from six yards out. Brown had four saves.
