Brook scored her third goal of the season 55 seconds into the match when a Kansas State defender attempted to head a ball out of the penalty box, but it sailed to Brook, who headed it in from five yards out. Another miscue by the Kansas State defense gave Texas a 2-0 lead just under two minutes into the second half. Kansas State defender Meghan Kalofen made a sliding attempt to clear a ball from the box and it deflected into her own net.

Texas goalie Paige Brown had her second shutout of the season and had one save.
