Joyner Holmes scored 20 points and Ariel Atkins added 19 as Texas defeated Oklahoma 86-68 Tuesday night at the Erwin Center.

Texas is 13-4, 7-0 in the Big 12. OU is 14-5, 5-1.

The Longhorns have won 11 straight games.

Texas went on a 20-4 run in the final 4:40 to break open a tight game.

Senior Brianna Taylor helped the Longhorns get off to a good start with 10 rebounds in the first half. Taylor missed part of the second half with a hamstring injury but finished with 11 boards to tie a career-high Lashann Higgs came off the bench to score 9 points as the Longhorns cruised to a 40-29 lead at the break.

Texas leads the all-time series over OU 29-24

Texas will hit the road for a Big 12 contest against Texas Tech at 6 p.m. Saturday.
