Two high school basketball seniors who will play at Texas next fall are among 10 semifinalists for the Naismith Girls’ Player of the Year award, the Atlanta Tipoff club announced Tuesday.

The players are Rellah Boothe, a forward from Bradenton, Fla., and point guard Chasity Patterson of Houston.

Boothe (pictured here, courtesy ESPN) is ranked by ESPN as the No. 3 overall prospect in the country and No. 1 forward. Patterson is ranked No. 4 overall and the No. 1 point guard for the Class of 2017.

Among the notable finalists are Chennedy Carter of Mansfield (Timberview), who is going to Texas A&M, and Kiana Williams of San Antonio (Wagner), who will go to Stanford.

The Atlanta Tipoff Club will announce its five finalists on Feb. 21.
