Kelsey Lang listed as “probable” for upcoming Texas game against Iowa State

Lang played 16 minutes against Baylor, making a brief appearance in the third quarter before leaving for the locker room

Texas post Kelsey Lang, who suffered an injury to her left eye in Monday’s game against Baylor but is listed as “probable” for Friday’s game against Iowa State, UT announced Tuesday.

Lang was inadvertently struck in the eye in the second quarter of Baylor’s 70-67 victory at the Erwin Center. She played briefly in the third quarter before leaving for the locker room.

The 6-5 Longhorn played just 16 minutes, scoring four points and pulling down three rebounds.


For the season Lang averages 9.7 points and ranks ninth in the Big 12 with an average of 8 rebounds a game.

On Friday, Lang and teammate Brianna Taylor will be honored on Senior Night at the Erwin Center. It will be the final regular-season home game for both seniors.

Texas, though, is expected to receive a top four seed in the NCAA Tournament and play host to a pair of games.
