Texas women’s basketball team gears up for three exhibition games in Italy

Longhorns have scheduled games against teams from Germany, Holland and Italy

The University of Texas women’s basketball team has solidified its schedule for a series of games next month in Italy.

Coach Karen Aston and the Longhorns will leave on Aug. 11 and return Aug. 21.

Here is the itinerary for the trip, which includes three exhibitions:

  • Aug. 11 – Depart Austin
  • Aug. 12 – Arrive Rome
  • Aug. 14 – Game 1 TK Hannover (Germany), 12 p.m. CT, Rome)
  • Aug. 15 – Arrive Florence
  • Aug. 16 – Game 2 FSG Academy (Holland), 11:30 a.m. CT, Ponte Buggianese)
  • Aug. 17 – Arrive Venice
  • Aug. 19 – Arrive Lake Como
  • Aug. 19 – Game 3 Basket Costa (Italy) 11:30 a.m. CT, Costa Masnaga)
  • Aug. 21 – Depart Italy, Arrive Austin

Texas opens its season Nov. 12 with a home game against Stetson. That will be followed by home games on Nov. 15 against McNeese State and Nov. 17 against UTSA.
